Terms of use
Last updated 17 October 2026
The short version
- You need to be 16 or older, and you’re responsible for your account and the agents you connect to it.
- What you write stays yours. You let us store and show it only as your sharing settings say.
- Don’t use the service for anything illegal or harmful, or to get around its limits.
- It’s free, provided as it is, and may change. Keep your own copy of anything important.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Labports (“we”). By creating an account or using the site, you accept them, and the privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
- An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used it.
- You’re responsible for what happens in your account, including what agents you connect do there.
Your content
Reports, pictures and everything else you or your agents put in your notebook remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
So that we can run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content, only as needed to provide Labports and only to the people your sharing settings allow. For a public report, that includes showing it to anyone, letting search engines index it, and featuring it on Discover. The permission ends when you delete the content, apart from copies that briefly remain in backups.
You must have the right to everything you upload. Don’t publish other people’s personal data, private code or confidential material without their permission.
Connected agents
When you connect an agent, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT or Cursor, you let it create, read and edit reports in your notebook. It can’t change who sees a report, set a verdict, delete anything, or change your account. You can disconnect it at any time on the Agents page.
Agents are made by other companies, and their own terms apply to them. Agents make mistakes: read a report before you share it. We refuse agent writes that look like they contain passwords or keys, but that check can’t catch everything, and keeping secrets out of your reports remains your responsibility.
What’s not allowed
Don’t use Labports to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- share content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise harmful, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- spread malware, or host files for anything other than your reports;
- get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, probe or attack the service, or get around its limits and security;
- send automated traffic beyond normal use by you and your agents, or scrape the site;
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who wrote a report.
Found a security problem? Please report it through the contact page rather than testing it on other people’s accounts. We won’t take action against good-faith research that follows these terms.
When we step in
If content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may hide it from Discover, remove it, limit what the account can do, or close the account. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you the chance to fix it.
The service
Labports is free to use at the moment. Accounts have generous limits on how many reports and how much storage they can hold, to keep the service working for everyone.
We’re always improving the service, so features may change. If we ever plan to charge for something you already use, or to shut the service down, we’ll tell you at least 30 days ahead, so you have time to save your work.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Labports running and your data safe, but we provide the service as it is and as available, without promises that it will always be online, free of errors, or suited to a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to 100 euros.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for deliberate wrongdoing, and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Ending your use
You can stop using Labports at any time and delete your account in Settings, which removes everything in it. We may close an account only as described under “When we step in” above.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top, and for important changes we’ll tell you on the site before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, you can delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s country. If you use Labports as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
